I began my business in Westerham in 2005 offering clothing alterations for informal and special occasion wear. This has proved very popular, owing to the care taken with the garments. As I work from home, I am not bound by normal working hours therefore, later appointments can be made.

Alterations are completed within the week or the following day if required.

Originally from Bath, I gained a BA (Hons) design from Polytechnic of North London in 1985. More recently, I have completed a course in pattern cutting from the London College of Fashion. This has enabled me to extend the service to include dress making.

My price list shows standard alterations but often, I am asked for more imaginative ones! If you can’t find a dress with sleeves, why not have some cap sleeves added? This can be very effective in a sheer fabric for the evening. Collars and cuffs can be reversed or replaced. A set of new buttons can update a cardigan. Perhaps a vintage designer dress needs attention?

I always supply any haberdashery you might need for the work.
An overlocker achieves a smooth finish on all your hems and seams.

Once you have a style in mind, I can advise you of suitable fabric and provide you with a list of stockists. At the moment, I can offer skirts, dresses for daytime, lightweight jackets, shrugs, boleros, longer tops to go over leggings, net petticoats etc.
All clothes are made to measure.
